Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Plans change, and we understand. This policy explains what happens if you need to cancel or change a booking, and what happens if we have to. It applies to every private tour and airport transfer booked with Holy Land with Avi.
At a glance
- 36 hours or more before the start time: full refund.
- Less than 36 hours but at least 24 hours before the start time: credit worth 50% of the price, toward a future tour or transfer with us.
- Less than 24 hours before the start time, or a no-show: no refund.
The start time is the booked start of your tour, or the pickup time of your transfer, in Israel time. The time that counts is when we receive your cancellation message.
How to cancel
Contact us by any of these routes, with your name and the date of your booking:
- WhatsApp or phone: +972 58-664-9494
- Email or post: to the addresses on our Contact Details page
We confirm every cancellation in writing.
Refunds
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with, within 14 days of your cancellation. Your bank may take a few more days to show the money in your account.
- We never deduct card processing or administration fees from a refund.
The 50% credit
If you cancel less than 36 hours but at least 24 hours before the start time, you receive credit worth 50% of the price you paid. The other 50% is not refundable.
- You can use the credit toward any tour or transfer with us within 12 months of the date of the tour you cancelled.
- To use it, contact us with the details of your original booking.
- The credit can't be exchanged for cash.
Changing your booking
Need a different date or time? Contact us as early as you can. We'll do our best to move your booking, subject to availability. If we can't find a date that works for you, the cancellation terms above apply.
No-shows, late arrival and leaving early
- If you don't arrive for your tour or pickup and we can't reach you, this counts as a no-show and the full price is charged.
- If you arrive late, we wait as long as the day's schedule allows, but the tour may be shortened and the price isn't reduced.
- If you choose to leave a tour early, the unused part is not refunded.
If we cancel
If we have to cancel, for example because of illness, a vehicle problem, dangerous weather or a security situation, you choose between a new date and a full refund of everything you paid. The same choice applies if official security guidance prevents your tour from going ahead on the booked date.
Flight problems and illness
If you need to cancel because your flight is cancelled or delayed, or because of illness, the terms above apply. These situations are usually covered by travel insurance, which we strongly recommend. Contact us anyway: we will always look for a fair solution.
Your rights under the law
Israeli consumer protection law (the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981) gives you the right to cancel some bookings made remotely, for example online or by phone. This policy is designed to be at least as generous as the law: whenever the law gives you a right to cancel, you receive a full refund with no cancellation fee. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under Israeli law or under any other consumer law that applies to you.
